This week we have a presentation on our assignment; no classes are scheduled. This final design is a very interesting challenge for me. I have learned a lot this semester, such as the use of a sewing machine and the method of manual sewing, but these are all basic knowledge. The important thing is that I learned to make shirts and skirts, and I made my own clothes with my own design, which gave me a sense of accomplishment. In this learning process, from drawing technical drawings to making templates, then cutting out the corresponding fabrics and finally sewing them together. In fact, each step has corresponding difficulties. For example, when drawing technical drawings, I need to measure each circumference of the model, and the error should not be too different when drawing. When cutting the fabric, it is also necessary to determine how and how much each part should be cut. Mr. Jr. helped me draw the pattern and asked me to buy yarn for hand sewing. After finishing the sewing, I sewed the lining. 🧠 Weekly Reflection: Using wool to sew is a new thing for me. VISUAL DOCUMENTATION: Task 2 PPT  needs changing. In storyboard 5, designer's vision, you should look at your own work from your own perspective, not other designers’. PROCESS SUMMARY: The final design was finalized this week, and some PPT errors were corrected under the teacher's guidance. Weekly reflection This week I revised my PPT for Task 2. I realized that I still have a lot to learn. Some requirements needed to be corrected because of my misunderstanding.

Fabric Sourcing & hunting This week we also need to do fabric hunting to buy our base fabric/trimmings/jacket interfacing and etc... Weekly reflection After technical drawing, we start buying fabric which is  suitable for our clothes that our designing. This requires us to examine some fabrics, so we can learn what different fabric materials are needed for each garment pattern.

Technical drawing In the seventh class, the teacher taught us how to draw technical drawings. After we draw the paper, we need to use the software EVERNOTE SCANNABLE to scan the electronic version. Before technical drawing, we need to make drawing templates of the top and pants, and then cut them out for drawing. Because i like paper drawing very much and w hen I was a kid I loved drawing the clothes I wanted to design.But before I really learned how to draw these clothes, I felt that I was still too unprofessional. Before drawing the technical drawings, we need to make a mini version of the pattern first. 1. 20 COLORED INITIAL IDEA DEVELOPMENTS/ PHOTOMONTAGE This week we need finish drawing our 20 initial ideas developments. Here are my remaining ten works. DEVELOPMENT OF IDEA ON TECHNICAL DRAWING DEVELOPMENT We need choose 5 designs for technical drawing. In the end ,I chose the following five. 3. MOOD BOARD: Based from the lecture last week, i already understand all the criterias . This week we need complete the task1, and start doing the task2. Task 1 assignment TASK 2 assignment: RESEARCH & DESIGN CONSTRUCTION: PHOTOMONTAGE In task 2, we need doing one research & design construction for shirts.In the third class, Teacher JR gave us one example which is other classmate's work. And then showing one PPT about mind mapping, guiding us to think our topic So i thought about it for a while, i chosen "BUTTERFLY"as my topic, and made one easy mind mapping. Weekly reflection This week we finished Task 1. In the process of completing Task 1, I learned a lot about shirts. At the beginning, I just saw a shirt as a piece of clothing, but now I can master the various components of a shirt. In the next task, We need to stimulate more of our own imagination to design a work of our own.

Task 1 assignment This is my second class of Introduction to Fashion Design.This class i continue to complete the task1 PPT. After Teacher JR checking my work, I made some changes to my assignment. I don't quite understand which part of yokes is，i search on Google，just gave me this photo. But Teacher JR gave me an explanation, yoke is connecting the front and back pieces of shirts. At the beginning, i just using the photos as my research materials, I didn't know until later, i also need insert some simple sketch. This week I completed most of Task 1, but there are still some details to be worked on.  Weekly reflection This week I learned a lot of professional terms about the different parts of a shirt. And the teacher also helped me a lot in class and guided me on Task 1.

Task 1 assignment This is my first class of Introduction to Fashion Design.Teacher JR introduced the MIB of this semester.And for the task1 assignment, we need make one research on SHIRTS , its also our theme for this semester.With in-depth understanding，this research can support us to complete our final work. In task1, we need find the shirt silhouettes, yokes, collars etc.At first, i just think we need find all kinds of photos on shirts.But the key point is not different photos, it is different shapes in different parts and then we need sort out these photos using Canva , put them on every page of the PPT. After i finished the first page of the PPT,i showed to Teacher JR, he let me do some adjustments, i need find different shapes of shirt silhouettes.
